Housework is no fun. It’s good you got some done though! :-)
It involved two BATHROOMS...eyew.
:)
And a lovely day to you as well!
Thank you!
I'm doing good. And you?
You know the drill...one day at a time! :)
You called? The Belvadere room is still around but not very active now. Cote Blanche is gone and missed by those who knew her as I did. Not too long before she passed on I wrote a poem for her about her zinnia garden she planted and tended to each year: Flowers On Byrd Crescent Street Oh, long remembered beauty lies Beneath the bed of winter's weight A thousand flowers sleep 'til spring Behind the entries swinging gate The crooked sidewalk deep in snow Hides it's broken bulging back And passers by would never know Of hidden treasures 'neath the pack A rainbow garden soon reborn In gentle rains of coming spring In winter for the flowers mourn When we behold their beauty ... sing! Karen wrote me on receiving this, a very nice thank you letter. After her passing I wrote an addition to the poem above: Now yet we mourn in absence of The gayest heart, the greenest thumb Who's zinnias were touched by love Below this winter's frozen numb Oh heart be still, oh tears hold back Let not this sadness break your back For life lives on beneath the white Oh thoughts of spring's eternal hope When zinnias caress my feet Is promise that will help me cope Like the flowers on Byrd Crescent Street.
Beautiful poem, Fish Hawk. Thank you.
Thank you for today’s Opening Graphic. It is wonderful.
We miss you ... Got any new poems we could use in another Opener?
Have a delightful day ... how can your days not be delightful? LOL
Did your friends friends move in?

M-L, I got this one in my email this morning - and your post brought it to mind:
Please excuse the four letter words in the following story. I would have deleted them, but it would lose its impact without them....
A young couple got married and went on their honeymoon. When they
got back, the bride immediately called up her mother.
“Well,” said her mother, “so how was the honeymoon?”
“Oh, mama,” she replied, “the honeymoon was wonderful! So romantic...”
Suddenly she burst out crying. “But, mama, as soon as we returned,
Sam started using the most horrible language — things I’d never heard
before! I mean all these awful four-letter words! You’ve got to take
me home... “PLEASE MAMA!”
“Sarah, Sarah,” her mother said, “calm down! You need to stay with
your husband and work this out. Now, tell me, what could be so awful?
WHAT four-letter words?”
“Please don’t make me tell you, mama,” wept the daughter, “I’m so
embarrassed, they’re just too awful! COME GET ME, PLEASE!!”*
“Darling, baby, you must tell me what has you so upset. Tell your
mother these horrible four-letter words!”
Sobbing, the bride said, “Oh, Mama..., he used words like: dust,
wash, iron, and cook...
I’ll pick you up in twenty minutes,” said the mother.
TOO funny!!
In our house, I vacuum (some sections daily) and dust and actually don’t mind that (and with a swamp cooler and all the cats, too much dust).
But.... Mr. BQ cooks :0)) And we pretty much each do our own laundry.... Women’s lib, LOL.
Bathrooms are so un-fun...
Have you tried 7th grade algebra lately ? : )
Yep! That is what I am " in-to" these days! 7th grade algebra! I fall asleep at the table trying to stay awake and " help"...not to mention I don't underSTAND a bit of it. Polly
How pretty, Yorkie!! Thank you!!
