Such good news. I'm sure you expected a slow go, though.

Did yours go well?
Yep. Sure did. And in the morning we are going shopping. Black friday sales are about the only way I can afford to get stuff for my 6 other family members on my very tight budget.
Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner. I’m feeling pretty good.
We had all our family together today for Thanksgiving at our house.
After an early afternoon dinner, decorations for Christmas began to fill the house. Only thing missing is outdoor lights and a Christmas tree.
Had a call from my dr yesterday and my Chemo will begin on Dec 1st vs Dec 8th. Always wondered what I would look like bald - haven’t had a shaved head since boot camp in ‘63. :^)
Hope you had a Blessed Thanksgiving. For me, surrounded by our three daughters, three sons-in-law and two grandsons, it just doesn’t get any better than that.
Thought about firing up the hot tub, but it was toooooo cold outside for that.
“Black Friday” shopping has never peaked my interest and this year is no different.
Blessings to you and yours.
Finding Hope
November 25, 2011
A study conducted by researchers at the University of Minnesota found that almost 15 percent of American teenagers felt it was highly likely that they would die before their 35th birthday. Those with this pessimistic outlook were more likely to engage in reckless behavior. Dr. Iris Borowsky, author of the study published in Pediatrics magazine, said: These youth may take risks because they feel hopeless and figure that not much is at stake.
No one is immune to feelings of despair. The Psalms express repeated pleas for help when life seems dark. Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence (Ps. 42:5 NASB). In a defiant step of faith, the psalmist tells himself not to forget about God, who will never forsake him.
Curtis Almquist has written: Hope is fueled by the presence of God. . . . [It] is also fueled by the future of God in our lives. We can say with the psalmist, I shall yet praise Him (v.5).
No follower of Christ should feel reluctant to seek counsel for depression. Nor should we feel that faith and prayer are too simplistic to help. There is always hope in God!
” Will you be joining family or friends, today? “
I had Thanksgiving dinner with my minister, and his wife. He is my closest friend. Hope yours was wonderful !

Whenever I feel depressed, I merely turn it over to God. It never ceases to amaze me how much He can handle.
That compliment was so sweet and meant a lot to me. I have not always had a positive attitude. For a while after my loss, I would stare out my kitchen window sorta staring into space and wondering WHY? Many months went by and I then realized that he would never walk up that driveway again. And I knew he was in Heaven and there would be no dialysis in Heaven and he would suffer no more. That alone was a blessing to me.
I had a lot of good friends and we went to lunch a lot. I joined the Red Hats club and we had some wonderful times together! Eventually, you will lead a normal life. You always remember all the happy times together and my two sons were SO HELPFUL to me and still are! I asked God to help me and HE did.
I am quite a happy person now even with all my aches and pains!! Just thankful I’m here and I have family and friends. I heard Dr. Stanley say that many people say “they have nothing to be thankful for.” Dr. Stanley said to those people to wake up in the morning and say, “Thank you Lord, that You brought me through the night and I woke up this morning!”
Amen.
