Among other things, the knee brace made it very difficult to get in and out of the car. Luckily, I was able to drive and at least get to and from work.

For All The Cat~People Of Amy's Place
The Hay Loft

I glided into The Barn before the Sun lightened the sky
It's quickly becoming my Favorite Place and I think I know why
A wonderfully cool and shadowy place to either curl up or sit
And pass the time of day in comfort with my Human's Horses
As they chew away on apples and feed from various sources
I can watch the mice pick up dropped feed as they quickly raid each stall
Before they quickly escape into their cozy nooks between the walls While dust motes vie with Swallows as they swirl and flutter and flit
But the finest place that I've found for my body attractive, yet soft
Is way far up the aged ladder to The Barn's upper Hay Loft
To climb the ladder rung by rung is a long and drawn out balancing act
But the pleasure is worth the risk involved, and that is quite a fact
For the treasure up there is worth its weight in gold
I'm looking forward to the Winter when it gets dry and and crisp and cold
Even if there are Black Snakes snuggled and sleeping in the back
I enjoy pushing some hay down from on high when the Horses desire a snack
For the Hay Loft is a wall-to wall bed piled tall and high
Which gets cooler when I tunnel deep in it, though I don't know why?
A Playground to keep me busy from before Sunrise to far after Noon
And doubles for a comfy perch when I wish to converse with the Moon
Where I can keep an eye on everything and chat with all my friends
When I'm not busy tunneling just to find out where it ends
Up and down and left and right, I'll occasionally pop up for air
While I try to figure a easier, safer way to get up here from way down there!

Grieving From A To Z
November 14, 2011
Jerusalem was engulfed in flames, and the prophet Jeremiah wept. His prediction of divine judgment had largely gone unheeded. Now his terrible prophecy had come to pass with horrifying vividness. The short book of Lamentations records the prophets grieving process over the destruction of Jerusalem.
Jeremiah organized the book around the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet, using a technique of alphabetic acrostics to aid the reader in memorizing the passages more easily. But using this technique also shows that he didnt cut short his grieving process. He took deliberate and intentional time to reflect upon and even to write down his heartbreak. You might say he was learning to grieve from A to Z.
In the midst of his grief, the comfort of God surfaced. Reminders of Gods sovereignty and goodness gave the prophet hope as he faced the future: The Lord will not cast off forever. Though He causes grief, yet He will show compassion according to the multitude of His mercies (Lam. 3:31-32).
If youve recently experienced a painful loss, remember to take adequate time to grieve and to reflect upon Gods goodness. Then you will be able to experience His comfort and hope for the future.
To experience Gods comfort
While youre suffering with grief,
Try to focus on Gods goodness,
And Hell bring your heart relief. Sper
God allows sorrows and tears today
to open our hearts to the joys of tomorrow.
