Add to that the cap I have on “high speed” web usage, and I’ll definitely go for the .12 second option every time!

I hate those float-overs.

Some of them you have to chase around the page like a freaking video game.

Others leave screen artifacts that corrupt the page, forcing you to close and go back in.

I’m not talking about Human Events specifically, but those irritating floating ads in general.

I hate those too. Everybody does.

But they have to pay for their site somehow.

And people have proven reliably reluctant to dip into their pockets for web content.

I guess if you can’t stand it, don’t go there. For everyone else, it’s simply the price you have to pay.
