Herman Cain fires back in highly offensive MSNBC interview
The Right Scoop ^ | 10/06/2011 | TheRightScoop

I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard a more offensive interview on MSNBC than the one I just heard from Lawrence O’Donnell with Herman Cain. In one interview O’Donnell managed to accuse Herman Cain of not only sitting on the sidelines during the civil rights movement, but also of dodging the Vietnam war. His contempt for a black Republican has never been more clear. At one point in the interview, O’Donnell asked Cain where America would be right now if Rosa Parks took his dad’s advice to stay out of trouble and just sit in the back of the bus. Seriously. It was like he was trying to prove that Cain hadn’t earned his black skin or something. It was terribly offensive and I hope Cain never steps foot again in the studios of MSNBC.

I will say that Cain proved he could hold his own and not be rattled by the offensive assumptions of these whackos on MSNBC. He hit back in the interview several times but always kept his cool. He could have hit back more in my opinion but overall I think he did great.

It’s a long interview but it covers four main topics: Brainwashing, Civil Rights Movement, War dodging, and the 9-9-9 plan.

"Lawrence, what of Arabia? That name sounds like royalty, are you royalty?"
I don't like the name Lawrence, only faggots and sailors are called Lawrence. From now on, you're Gomer Pyle!"

And O'Donnell is about as much of a whackjob as Private Pyle.

Wait.... Isn’t criticism of Herman Cain considered “racist?”

Obama is TOAST! The only question remains - regular or extra-crispy?

Countdown until Zer0 leaves Office: 470 days as of October 7, 2011.

Just watched it.

Cain owned LOD

LOD didn’t even catch what Cain meant at the end of the interview when Cain said he would be happy to come back on anytime.

In other words, Cain would be more than happy to come back on and verbally slap LOD around a little more.

Cain made a fool out of LOD, and LOD still doesn’t know it.

How stupid is LOD to even think that the Navy is going to send a mind like Cain’s to Viet Nam when he can serve in a much better capacity here at home?

Is LOD that stupid, or did he think he had a good “gotcha” question and said it without thinking it thru?

Yeah, let’s pull a Rocket Scientist out of his job and send him to Nam to get shot at and possibly killed.

Libs proving their stupidity on National TV

Too bad no one watches that network.

The left will attack Cain relentlessly as that would basically end their playing of the race card against conservatives if we elect a Black man to the WH

They fear that almost as much as Palin being in the WH, maybe more.

Excellent post/link, Thanks sybilll!

O'donnell is a jerk but his hostile style really gives us a chance to watch Mr. Cain under pressure and IMHO he knocked every question out of the park like Delmon Young facing Yankee's pitching.

I am getting more impressed by the day and this link will be going out to the email list in the morning.

The only issues I still have with Mr. Cain is I am a little leery of signing on to a national sales tax while keeping an income tax, and I would like him to clarify his stance on 2nd amendment issues.

Thanks for that link. This is amazing.

The following questions were asked of all likely voters:

If Herman Cain is the Republican nominee for President against Barack Obama, for whom would you vote?

Response:
Cain 46%
Obama 44%
Someone else 6%
I would not vote 1%
Not sure 4%

If Mitt Romney is the Republican nominee for President against Barack Obama, for whom would you vote?

Response:
Obama 41%
Romney 40%
Someone else 11%
I would not vote 2%
Not sure 7%

Totals may not add up to 100% due to rounding

Well, I stuck with it for 19 minutes, but I couldn't take any more.

Douchebag is too nice a word for O'Donnell. I could think of a lot more accurate words, but I'd get kicked off Free Republic.

This was the first time I spent the time to listen to Herman Cain. His analytic mind trained as a strategic thinker to look at the facts and then make decisions rather than making decisions and then only looking for the facts that support his decisions is heart warming.

While he is excellent, he needs a little more time studying the art of cult deprogramming. It is the only way he can head off O’Bummer’s illogical emotional biased mind control techniques,(learned from Rev. Wright). Cain’s sharp mind would crush O’Bummer in a head on debate. He’s a “Give me the facts and cut the crap” guy. I like that. He’s a strategic decision maker and a leader, not a politician. That’s what we need to lead us out of this mess.

Would love to see his college transcripts side by side with O’Bummer’s. It would be calculus vs. basket weaving courses.

It may have the opposite effect, in fact. It did in my case. I just bought the Kindle version of This is Herman Cain!, and, after reading it, I intend to send hardcover copies to every one of my liberal relatives, who all voted for Obama. So Cain should thank Laurence. He just made 10 more sales for him.

I will take back what I said about Herman Cain. He is performing cult deprogramming. Here is an excerpt from an excellent article on the process:

Margaret Singer often cited as a leading brainwashing and cult expert defined cult deprogramming as “providing members with information about the cult and showing them how their own decision-making power had been taken away from them.”

That is exactly what Cain was doing in the interview, especially on the topic of brainwashing.

What is needed in this country is a Democrat Cult deprogramming campaign. Here is another excerpt:

Over the years that basic process of sharing information and demonstrating to cult members how the power of persuasion may have compromised their critical and independent thinking, has been refined continuously and improved. In fact, the name “cult deprogramming” itself has become something of a politically incorrect term. Today most professionals engaged in cult intervention work prefer other labels to describe their work. For example, “exit counseling,” “thought reform consultation,” or “strategic intervention therapy.”

The democrats need “strategic intervention therapy.”

Should be called “learning to use your God given common sense!” O’Buumer’s class warfare political technique is the same thing Hitler used to gain power. Question is, what crisis will O’Bummer use as the equivalent to Hitler’s burning down the Reichstag.

Lawrence O'Donnell set a half dozen traps and Herman Cain returned them; they wound up on O'Donnell's nose.

Rosa Parks--Herman was a high school student under 18.

Gay is a choice--next question.

Mitt Romney--focus is on winning.

Criticism of unemployed--Herman Cain makes it clear he was speaking to the demonstrators, that they should be demonstrating at the White House since that's who caused the destruction (bravo for that).

Grateful to country for civil rights--greater percentage of Republicans than Democrats on 64-5 legislation.

How avoid Vietnam--rocket assisted projectile analyst--deferred by draft board, missed by lottery.

Now, here is where the little girl turned beet red and demanded to know why Herman Cain didn't just go down and sign up like the he-man John Kerry.

Herman Cain had replied that he was offended by O'Donnell's characterization of "avoiding" and I will add my comment:

Laurence O'Donnell, you fricking maggot, John Kerry is the traitor scum who lied to Ted Kennedy's committee that American fighting men committed totally fictitious atrocities--Kerry should have been court martialled and imprisoned.

O'Donnell, having thrown all his red herrings--and Herman Cain objected that the questions were not about the economy that was in ruins--allowed the candidate to introduce his 9-9-9 plan.

I find it elegant, and the man's mind is a beautiful thing.

And he thinks Newt is brilliant.

I think if you take the two of them with Herman Cain keeping Newt conservative (as the Vice President with Experience in Government) they can revitalize the economy.

The man could not be bested--nor even taken off cadence and message and confidence--by Laurence O'Donnell the notorious hysterical little girl who was the perennial fit-thrower on the McLaughlin Group, voice rising to the banshee shriek as the orderlies rush in with syringes of Thorazine.

Articulate, intelligent, tactical awareness, eschewal of premises, Herman Cain didn't break a sweat--

--of course O'Donnell is a lizard (the eyes give it away) so he wouldn't.

I wrote an email to MSNBC and told them that after watching this disrespectful interview that I would spend tomorrow writng their sponsers and expressing my disgust. If anyone has any questions about whether Mr. Cain can handle extremely hostile and just plain offensive interviewers... I think that they should watch this interview. I doubt whether any of the other candidates could have handled O’Donnell’s offensive remarks and come out on type. I think that either Romney or Perry would have lost it.

I thought Mr. Cain did really well. What really irked me is that O’Donnell had the temerity to ask Herman Cain why he avoided the draft during the Viet Nam years. Cain served in the Navy Department as a civilian. I note that O’Donnell who graduated high school in 1969 and took 7 years to graduate from Harvard never served in Viet Nam. What was O’Donnell’s draft number? Why did it take him 7 years to graduate college? Was he in Canada during part of that time? How many deferrals did O’Donnell get?

He then criticized Herman Cain for not being at the forefront of the civil rights protests while in college. Does this moneyed pipsqueak think Herman Cain who grew up in poverty and segregation in Georgia was opposed to the changes civil rights brought? Cain went to Spellman College, an all-black school in Atlanta. And I am sure at the time, Mr. Cain was glad he did.

Mr. Cain gave better than he got and O’Donnell is despicable.
