OK, I answered your first question, and now you want a mini seminar on Political Science. If you do not understand what is important to the National parties and why, then your need is well beyond the energy time and typing I would have to put in to explain it to you.
Why so dramatic?
The answer to the poster’s question is simple. The establishment Republicans along with big media want to be in control and put their guy in. As the 3rd largest state why should Florida wait until Iowans and New Hampshire have already (essentially) picked the nominee?
Reading the various threads dealing with this subject, a lot of people are worked up about the issue, but for the life of me I can't exactly ascertain why.
