Vanity: Where's the Outrage regarding "Occupy Wall Street"?
10/02/2011 | Me, myself & I

Posted on 10/02/2011 5:22:20 PM PDT by 2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten

Disclaimers:

1. This is a shameless vanity.

2. I haven't extensively researched all this occupy Wall Street crapola.

3. I'm mostly responding to what I see on Twitter, Google Plus, Facebook etc.

Having said all of that - with all of this Occupy Wall Street stuff I see what seems to be a well orchestrated plan by the left to foment what they hope will ultimately be revolution in the streets. They want their own London riots, their "Arab Spring", their "Days of Rage" call it what you will or use whatever analogy you choose.

I fear that this is the endgame of the Cloward-Piven strategy and as such, it's for all the marbles.

On the social media sites there are all manner of people going on and on about the evil bankers and like Roseanne Barr talking about how they should be executed.

This is all right out of the Obama/Van Jones/Bill Ayres/Valerie Jarrett/William Wright playbook.

Yet I see some but not very much discussion on FR.

Am I missing something? Is what is going on not that big a deal? Is FR reacting appropriately? Am I overreacting?

Thoughts?

And no, I'm not pimping a blog or anything of the sort - just putting the topic out there.

They plan to “occupy Michigan” starting on the 15th.

They’re really going to enjoy our Michigan January and February. LOL

They’re protesting Obama’s pals and Geitner’s cronies - let them all twist in the wind together.

I hope the weather turns miserable.

I see and hear what they’re protesting, but I don’t see what they want. What do they want?

BTW, these aren’t just students, I suspect many have cushy gov’t jobs. Probably working for EPA, etc.

Americans are different.

The rage is not coming from people directly affected by the economy. My guys can’t afford to run to NY and protest.

They don’t have any money. They don’t have jobs.

They still look and take what they can.

This is faux rage orchestrated by Obama’s minions.

They seriously don’t want to see the middle class enraged and protesting.

That would quickly go out of control and the conflagration would be acute.

Besides, the game was given away tonight. Look on Drudge for his leadin “Protestors call for Obama re-election.”

Just think of the positive side. Nobody will notice the stink because nobody of consequence will be outside to smell it. Nothing like freeze dried bums. Just don’t add water in the spring.

The hippies on the street are the tip of the iceberg. I think this thing is bigger than just them. Call it a hunch, call it a read of the social media sites, call it a feeling that the left is not going to go down to electoral defeat in 2012.

Why wouldn’t they take to the streets? Every aspiring thug before them has done so. And it has to start in some kind of way. People laughed at Hitler after the Beer Hall Putsch.

A few years later, they laughed at him at their own peril.

While I don’t support most of the solutions that I have seen offered by this crowd, I do agree that currently Wall Street is a criminal raketeering organization not much if any better than the mafia. I wish our side would do more to prosecute the systemic fraud coming from Wall Street financial corporations. While the Tea party is not participating in these protests, they are already doing more to help by putting a severe brake on bailouts and focusing on cuts. Hopefully if conservatives win big in 2012, it will spell the unintentional end of a lot of financial corporations that help caused our problems.

I do agree with that - I have no doubt that their are a bunch of crooks on Wall Street. Hell - full disclosure - I know a few of ‘em.

This is faux rage orchestrated by Obama’s minions.

I wonder how many of these 'spontaneous protesters' are actually on the payroll. How else could they afford to sit there?

Like Jerry Rubin back when, telling people to turn on and drop out, and then flying (FLYING? WTF? $$$$) to the other coast to spread the word...

Some people will be scammed, others will join in, and at some point, there will be an incident to provoke genuine outrage.

Yup. That’s exactly how I see it. All amplified and ginned up by means of social media.

Not to get too gross, but I have wondered how all of those people go to the bathroom. Where do they sleep? Who is feeding them?

I trust that NYPD will take good care of them. What I am waiting for is the van jones crap in DC. THAT could be the flash point. If it isn’t, the thing dies a well deserved death.
It is a GOOD thing that the networks have ignored these idiots for the most part. No publicity defeats its purpose. If there was a Republican in the WH, it might be different.

All of my outrage is still rather focused on the fact that AIG, BAC, MS, GS, etc, etc, etc have failed and been rewarded for it.
The saver, the genuine capitalist has been ruined for their benefit.
The sweat of future generations has already been promised to them.
Sorry.
No outrage here.

I saw the lead up, saw the organization, read the “rage”, got concerned.

Then it started. It’s a bunch of bored losers trying to make life more interesting by threatening a revolution, when they can’t even decide what their demands are.

Reading their complaints, these people don’t know what luxury they wallow in. Their alleged grievances come from gross mismanagement of the best opportunities the world can give them. “First world problems” indeed.

The “fat cats” they rail against are no more guilty than wanting the rest of the world to feed their selfishness and foolishness.

Yeah, there’s no outrage here on FR about this. They’re morons, amusing to laugh at.

As big fans of the consuitution, agree with them or not, we should be ready and willing to fight for their right to peacefull assembly. But that does not seem to be the case.
