Setting aside my loathing of Hollywood leftists and my patriotic bent to say the US is the best at everything, I can honestly say Foreign cinema-especially German, Scandinavian, and Chinese flicks, are far, far superior.

Go to Netflix and rent the German "Lives of Others" and "Counterfeiters" or the Scandinavian "Inheritance" or "After the Wedding" and tell me I am wrong.

Thanks for those recommendations. “Counterfeiters” seems taken from the same historical setting as the British series “PPrivate Schultz” — which put a more comical/ridiculous spin on the circumstances.
