I’m glad, this French chick is an improvement bit IMO still doesn’t reach the attractiveness bar of the last two Craig girls.
Denise Richards was beautiful, poorly conceived and developed character though. Sophie M. was the real primary Bond girl in that one.
Not as bad as Tanya Roberts though, geologist my a$$!
What I really hate is when they feature the worst of the bunch of actresses cast as the main Bond girl over the lesser ones who would prove more interesting. Case in point in AVTAK, the vapid (but attractive) Tanya Roberts gets showcased while Fiona Fullerton as the Soviet agent who has but a small part with Rog in San Francisco (”Zuh bubbles tickle my... Tschaikovsky !”). Fiona is far more interesting and exciting. I’d have rather seen more of her, who had good chemistry with Rog. A bit of rewriting of the script could’ve had her as a sidekick (albeit still playing the Soviet agent) in the film and got rid of Tanya’s character (and as was pointed out, Soviet General Gogol was not too keen on the notion of Silicon Valley being wiped off the map, hence a joint British-Soviet venture).

Pretty obvious when you think about it.
They probably finished the whole thing before they realized they had a dud Bond girl.
But I still can’t believe anyone liked her screen tests.
