13 hours is a long, long day, LTOS.
Wishing you a fine day and a restful Wednesday evening.
Hi FRiends! I’ve been home for a while. Barry stayed with me a little while and left and I ate a sandwich and am going to lie down a while.
It went wonderful!! The hardest part was the numbing and the assistants do that of course. The guy numbed it for about 5 minutes and then came back and told me he was going to put a Q-tip in my eye and numb some more. By then I had some numbness but he put the thing in my eye and numbed it more and said I had to keep my eyes closed for at least 15 minutes with that Q-tip sticking out sideways.
We did all that. I didn’t think I could keep my eyes shut but I had to. Then the doctor comes in and gets the needle and assured me I wouldn’t feel a thing. I told him how nervous I had been over the whole thing. It took him about 30-60 seconds with that needle and it was done.
God was there with his angels watching over me. I am so happy its over and don’t want to strain that eye. I think I will take a little nap....I’ve earned it today!
Thanks to all of you for your sweet prayers and thoughts for me.....it truly helps.
I will take it easy on my eye today. The doctor said I might see some improvement in that eye with this one shot and made an appointment for next month. I told him I wouldn’t be as scared next month.
