If you go into independent and smaller releases territory, you can get absolutely the most horrid covers.

Yes, however, the article linked for THIS thread disqualifies all those. It sets as criteria: "The list below is one where real record companies were involved and artists who sold actual records. . . ."

We had a long "worst album covers" thread, but that was mostly the small obscure stuff. Here the challenge involves more mainstream albums.

Sorry, missed that admonition on my first run through.

But there are plenty of really bad covers out there today. The style now is to be "weird" rather than attractive, which is what the mode was when I was a kid. So there is plenty of weird.
