'Course Is You I or Is You Ain't is the golden standard for all that (which also appears in Lipstick, Powder and Paint)

. P.S. It took me but a minute to find this Haggard lyric:

The boys are wantin' me to go out drinking
They want me to leave my Julie home
I know Julie don't mind my drinking
But Julie don't like to be left here at home

I thought bad grammar and semi-literate expressions were just staples in country music? I’ve told my wife that I’ve been allergic to country music ever since I heard the immortal line, “You burn me up like a chicken at a barbeque” coming from her car stereo.
