If I were a candidate, I would not be showing up at all these cable TV debates. I would do 1 or 2 debates right before Iowa. If you clear your throat or look in the camera the wrong way your camapaign could be finished.
While I believe the Perry and Bachmann implosions were self inflicted. But people leave no margin for error at all by going to these things.
I think overexposure is another part of it. You risk becoming nothing but a talking head on a tv screen.
My goodness, if you are the front runner and there are 9 other people standing up there on the stage just waiting to gang up on you every week. geez
The bottom line is that Palin refuses to fall into the traps set for her and it drives the media/lib/rino types insane.
It shouldn’t. She told everyone exactly what she was going to do and she’s doing it. But just like their refusal to take her at her word at “running an unconventional campaign” they also to listen to anyone telling them where to look for her version of ‘campaign staff’ organization’ etc.
I and many others here have directed the PDS brigade to the works of Sun Tzu hundreds of times. Anyone reading it will see her pas and future actions as clear as a bell...but instead they mock and ridicule.
Fine by me.
There is zero benefit to Palin playing “fair” as one freeper recently whined. Politics ain’t beanbag. Reaching the goal is what matters and she’s doing it without all the lies and false promises of the ‘traditional’ politician.
Let then whine. I could not care any less than I do about people too stubborn to think for themselves and follow the herd. And If I’m wrong and she does not run/win? So what? I’m just some guy on the internet to begin with.
I agree with what you said here.
