I am amazed that you assume there is such an application! One does not apply when stealing the SS# of a dead man, john.

This is John Mirse: I agree with you.

1. If the Globe and Enquirer can prove that teenager Obama never filled out a Social Security application, that would be great.

2. Job as a teenager: I wonder if teenager Obama had to apply for a Social Security card when he worked at the ice cream shop near his home while a teenager. If he did, Social Security should have a copy teenager Obama's application on file, shouldn't it?

3. However, if there is no Social Security application for teenager Obama, I wonder how he was allowed to work at that ice cream shop without a Social Security card?

4. Is it possible that smooth-talking teenager Obama somehow talked his way out of or made excuses as to why he did not have a Social Security card?

5. I wouldn't put it past teenager Obama to smooth-talk the ice cream shop manager into letting him work without having to present a valid Social Security number.

6. I wish some courageous reporter would confront Obama during the campaign season by asking him why he has a Social Security number that refers to Connecticut rather than to Hawaii.

7. Even if Obama responds with a "I don't know", the reporter could then ask Obama to release his original Social Security application.

8. As you may know, you and I can easily get a copy of our original Social Security application by sending Social Security a release letter along with a small fee.

9. So, if you and I can easily get a copy of our original application form, then surely the President of the United States can quickly get a copy of his Social Security application tomorrow.
