All those ethics suits brought state business to a halt. Although Palin had to pay her own attorney fees, state workers had to get info from the records. As soon as suits were dismissed, more were filed. Since Alaska government could no longer function properly, should she have stayed? Yes, I think quitting was a mistake--if she wants to continue in politics. While I understand the difficulties created by the idiotic ethics complaints, I have to wonder if she didn't have alternatives to quitting, such as asking the legislature to change the law to address the abuses. Ditto for finding a way to defray costs.
If she doesn't want to seek office again, then I don't think she hurt herself.

I have to wonder if she didn't have alternatives to quitting, such as asking the legislature to change the law to address the abuses. And open herself for MORE violation complaints. What the heck are you thinking!
So she should have allowed Dem operatives to bring the state of Alaska to it's knees?
Never trust a politician that will not relinquish power for the good of the people.

The Rats controlled the state legislature (under Obama lackeys Hollis French and Kim Elton) and had a directive straight from Rouse to take Sarah down. And the first legal defense fund her supporters set up was declared 'illegal' by the Rat operative assigned to investigate it.
