My wife is a 5th degree black belt and I carry a .45. I’m not so worried.
Is she an instructor? When my two sons and I started together some ..... 7 years ago now (?) our instructor was a 5th degree, he and his wife are now 7th degrees.
A few of the kids (I call them "kids" ... they're 18-21) in the school have spent two+ years prepping for their 4th degree blackbelts, which in turn pushes the instructors to upgrade as they have to be two levels above the highest rank they teach and test.
As for me, I carry my HnK USP9 with me. Love that gun. (Also have an HnK USP45, but I "prefer" my 9mm)
