May the Circle be Unbroken, reminds me of losing my mom.
Star Spangled Banner, used to bring chills now tears.
I was standing by my window
On a cold and cloudy day
When I saw that hearse come rolling
For to carry my mother away
Will the circle be unbroken
By and by, Lord, by and by
There’s a better home awaiting
In the sky, Lord, in the sky....
Don’t that make cold chills run down your back?
My mom died a couple of years ago. She was born in 1920 in a little community in East Tennessee called Glen Alice. Her name was Grace and everytime I hear Amazing Grace do I tear up.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
T’was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.
She took care of me the first 18 years of my life and I took care of her the last 20 years of her life.
She’s with the Lord now.
