So many problems with your opinion....but perhaps some questions would assist?
Should Nixon have quit? Anthony Weiner? Wu? When is "quitting" justified; under what conditions? What is the "tipping point" where quitting becomes the "lesser of two evils", so to speak?
Is quitting allowed in personal life? If not, then there would be no such thing as divorce, would there? No such thing as "job changers", "school dropouts", etc. Or is "quitting" justified in some cases? What are those cases (if any) and how does one make the decision to "quit"??
What....exactly....in your opinion, is "presidential material"? Was Johnson "presidential material"? Carter? clintoon? the stain? Of what is your "presidential" material woven? Where does Palin fall short?
Just curious, you understand....one conservative voter to another....
I want my presidents to be as smart or smarter than myself...she simply is not...
The answer, of course, is yes, they should have quit. But the next question is, having quit, would you vote for any of them again?
.........good points, well written........
and, oh by the way, I suspect we can all agree that we’re glad Cornwallis quit at Yorktown..............!
And,............I’m sure there are hundreds of examples throughout history of “good” and “wise” quitting...........
