I have gotten my share of snotty looks too when I admonish parents with kids doing that and I ask them out loud, “What are you teaching your kids? To beg or how to earn something?”
oh i dare someone to look at me snotty if i say that! i find begging of any sort to be obnox, let alone by upper middle class suburban kids!
