Guess he is more familiar reading verses of the Quran.
He was raised Muslim and probably had to memorize those verses when he was a child in Indonesia and it shows quite often.
Ever notice how carefully people speak if English is not their first language? They have to translate things as they speak. I see that sort of look in Obama, like he is not an American first and has to think of what is the proper thing to say to sound correct.
Unfortunately most publicly educated Americans aren’t so familiar with the Bible, either.
Interesting observation.

When someone is bluffing, as thereby Obama admitted he was, it means he’s GOT NOTHING.
But Obama had no clue what that English idiom actually meant.
