I think you may be right.
I know I hear and see the jets all the time but with today’s anniversary and just hearing about the Tards locking themselves in bathrooms on the JFK flight I did get a little jittery.
These chumps are constantly testing us and making their tries.
I swear by God I see one these working themselves up to yelling Allah Ack...., Ack is about as far as they are gonna get before I jump them and do whatever I can to end their act.
Beer run. Has to get there and back before kickoff.
I know Moffet is closed and that’s why I thought it odd to hear and see them taking off from there “today”.
I’m not The Shell Answer Man but I’m guessing F16, F18?
Doh!
THREE men locked themselves in A bathroom? I guess the Mile High Club has added an orgy category.
Hell, I gotta get me one of those planes then
Flying over the cuckoo nest?
ILWU bringing replacements to Washington docks....Obama offered to help with AF fighters for faster service ;-)
One of ours then?
Seeing how it is the 10th anniversary of 9-11, I think there may have been a few more air patrols than normal.
Florida skies a bit noisy today, too.
I have very fond memories of NAS Moffett Field. VP-47 in the mid-70’s. My oldest son was born in Mountain View. By the way, i think Moffett is now a JRB (Joint reserve base) so there are probably still military missions flown ot of there. Not to mention NASA events.

In that case, I hope not!
Moffett closed in 98.
There’s an annual air show at Mather yesterday & today; possibly flying to that? I went yesterday and it was awesome.
Wikipedia says 94, but it was 98. My husband didn’t even get stationed there until 96, then it closed about Nov 98. He and a couple others stayed and closed things down because they had less than 2 years left until retirement and they wouldn’t transfer them. We left in Feb 00 and there was one more man, a 1st class, still there when we left. But Moffett had the closing ceremonies in 98.
Our office building is the last in the landing flight path in Sunnyvale on Maude. Right next to the golf course. Quite a few fighters landing once a month on Thurs PM and Fri PM. We get a pretty good low-level air show from our windows. Definitely not those you listed.
Why take off now?
Because it could?
I lived in the flight path of Moffet Field until recently. F-18s, C-5s, C-117, Russian AN-24 as well as many other types of airplanes used to fly into Moffet. There were always multiple F-18s when they flew over
