When countries like the UK or France or Sweden get overrun by Muslim extremists, and people flap their hands and wonder how the people there can let that happen, I'm reminded of the words of Thomas Paine:
"Tyranny like hell is not easily conquered yet we have this consolation with us, the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value."
People who get their liberties handed to them or have them protected by others don't value them enough to fight for them themselves. If the rest of the world wants to disband their ability to defend themselves, relying on just one country to carry their water for them, then they deserve exactly what they get.
The European Social Experiment failed and they found themselves out of money and with minimal defenses. The price for all that is being paid as we type.

SoJoCo, our present enemies are the Muslim extremists and Communism in South America, Cuba, Russia, and China. All would love to destroy us. In addition, China is in an expansionist mood and they are quickly growing their military, especially the navy. Why do they need a larger navy? It is not to protect themselves for no one is threatening them. They need it to expand to other shores and to take over raw materials and additional territory. They intend to do that.
If the Muslims take over Europe and the once Great Britain. it is not just, well, too bad Europe. There are several large militaries in Europe and all of them have nuclear weapons. The Muslims love death because of their backward religion and killing us would be the biggest honor they think they can achieve for Allah. That would be a severe threat to you and to me.
Wake up! The time we could be a Fortress America and stay within our own shores has long passed.
