I live on the top of a hill, so I am all good. They have already evacuated Port Deposit, which is just 7 miles downstream from the Conowingo Dam. All that water flooding Binghamton? It has to pass through the dam. Our little church of St. Teresa of Avila is down on Main Street. I don’t know how high that water can get. I don’t think much beyond the basement got flooded in Agnes, (St. Agnes also a church in our parish) but I don’t know for sure since I was still a Western PA girl for Agnes. I remember my dad taking us to see the lock house flooded at the Allegheny and barrels from upriver coming over the dam. (The Conowingo Dam is different than the Allegheny dams....it is a hydro-electric dam, so all of the water has to pass through spill gates.)

I tried to read the speech, and it just got too f-—ing painful. Pass this! (Pass what? Platitudes??) Hermain Cain’s response was the best: “We waited 30 months for this??”
