The primary conclusion which can be drawn from this is: The Nobel committee on economics is peopled with idiots.

Or it's actually the Nobel Comedy Award, rewarding Paul Krugman for such brilliant gems as "I know, we can borrow our way out of debt!"

He’s right. Economics has always been about spending money to, um, for the sake of spending money. Wait, is that right?
