I have been in the Rockies (actively in the back country) most of my life. I have never seen the bones of a cat, or a wolf, and only twice found the bones of a bear... While deer and elk bones can occasionally be found, even that is fairly rare - Porcupines eat the bones unless they are not found until the bones are dried out. A lack of bones in the mountains means nothing.
Here’s what Buffalo Bill Cody said in his autobiography:

The Paterson film from 1967 has been investigated six ways to Sunday and has not been debunked. A Bigfoot series on TV has shown a police dashcam vid of one crossing a road, and another video of one partly visible in a wooded area. These have been scientifically analyzed and do not appear to be hoaxes due to factors like movement, stride length, etc. that a human could not match.
And they may very well bury their dead, or at least conceal them somewhere.
If I see one I'll try to overcome my wonderment and pull the trigger, then call 911 and wait to be arrested. < /sarc >
