I would wager a great deal of coin that the average person in this country tell you W was a Texan and would not believe Bush was a NE family.

Was I right? I’m pretty sure George H. W. Bush moved to Texas from somewhere in the North East.

And I think you would become rich beyond all measure if you made that wager. Not only that, but even after GHW Bush moved the family to Texas, GWB still went back to the NE for school, including the Phillips Academy in Andover, Yale, and Harvard (where he went to business school after the University of Texas law school turned him down).
