Just saying what? That you can’t read or understand issues much less address them? What was accomplished in Palin’s term and what was done in Perry’s? Sure, he did good things. I have never denied that. But he did many stupid as hell things and THAT’s the problem.
To expect a perfect conservative candidate is not realistic. They all have flaws to deal with — but as W F Buckley used to say... elect the most conservative candidate that CAN win. In my mind that leaves out Paul, Bachman, Palin, Santorum, Huntsman, Gingrich, Pataki, and Cain... and leaves us with Perry and/or Romney. Of those two, I think Perry wins the most convincing-sounding conservative award and though perception isn’t always realty, Obama proved that style trumps substance expecially when an economy is in the crapper.
It won’t happen because there are too many in the race, but it would be good for the party and the general election if the candidates would follow the Gippers admonition and 11th commandment.
