Head and torso lost. may have been a sacrifice
how these people jump to conclusions.
The head and torso may have just as easily been lost to other bog cutters in the last 2-3 thousand years.

The body of a young girl aged between 25 and 30 years old Ummmm. 2 or 3K years ago, that would have been late middle age or old age. At 30, I would expect her to have grandchildren.

“The body of a young girl aged between 25 and 30 years old was discovered during hand turf cutting in Meenybradden Bog, near Ardara, Co. Donegal in 1978. The naked body was wrapped in a woollen cloak, of a style worn in the Middle Ages, “
I highly dought that a 25 to 30 yer old women from 2500 to 3000 years ago was a young girl.

Hey SunkenCiv,
You’ve posted SO MANY GREAT ‘ARCHAEOLOGICAL’ articles; thank you for each of them.
Just wondering- have you ever served on a ‘dig’? Maybe as a volunteer, or as a specialist?
Or maybe you’re an archaeologist? No matter what, thanks again for all you’ve shared!
