Dittos! Medical, dental, mechanical, etc. We formed communities for a reason and just because the major cities implode doesn’t mean the rest of society will. I have no doubt society is near collapse but good communities will hold together just fine. Anything near a major metro area is doomed. We live 35 miles from two major metro areas but that is far enough to be away from it all, yet, be close enough right now.

The town I am looking at has a population of 250.

I think 5000 is too much.
