Now granted, I'm into the Perry candidacy but that was the first thing that struck me when I asked myself why would someone ask Caroline to release these tapes (the mini-series thing sounds so bogus and is full of holes) and she would agree? The Kennedys don't air their dirty laundry.

If Rick Perry catches fire -- with the country in the straights that it's in -- his coattails could be huge and the Left would be sunk on the eve of their great victory.

My thought as well. The miniseries could have been dismissed out of hand through a press release from Kennedy calling it sensationalist pap. While it would have garnered attention when it aired, today it wouldn't even be worth putting in the $3 DVD bin at Walmart.

These tapes, if they contain what they are said to contain, will be MUCH more damaging because they will become part of the historic record.
