I don't use air conditioning so I hear ya on salads. I did buy a plug-in roaster a few years back and use it during the summer on our deck if I really need to use the oven.

Normally I would use the grill a lot during the summer but when its 109 when you get home from work, there is NO WAY I am going out there.
