I have two teenage sons, and several younger. (They keep moving around, so I lose count.)
At least once a day, I point out to one of the older children (also have a 20-year-old daughter and two in adolescence) that sex outside marriage is wrong and stupid, stupid and wrong. Wrong and stupid, stupid and wrong.
I find that the content of popular music is a useful starting point. “You realize she’s talking about getting drunk and having sex with a stranger. What do you think are some of the potential consequences?” My 13-year-old daughter complains that I’m ruining the music for her, but what’s edifying about, “I’m never going to grow up and commit, but I’d like you to have sex with me whenever I pass through ...”? (”Colder Weather,” by the Zac Brown Band)
LOL........good job with your daughter. Sad that we have to counter this stuff daily. It’s hard enough raising kids these days without the whole world breathing down their necks to contaminate their minds like this.
