Some people are kinda ‘slow” on FR, but in fairness, most Freepers use (s/) or sarc/ in their sarc posts.

Sarcasm doesn’t come through very often in flat text messages. Without the inflection of a spoken voice that we usually use for sarcasm, it is difficult to spot sometimes. That’s why people call it out with a [/s] or other tag to make it clear. It doesn’t work in e-mail either and often results in misunderstandings.
