I should not have read this thread...I am doing atkins right now and need a donut fix. JUST a donut fix...that’s all.
I used a diet for years called the carbohydrate addition diet. I’ve tried Atkins, but the CAD was by far the best one I was ever on. Lost scads of weight, my labs stabilized wonderfully, and you could have a donut once a day. Heck, you could have two donuts. (Basically, it’s sort like a carbo “slimfast” - you totally restrict carbos, and then are allowed a “reward meal” once a day. It worked quite well.)
I was foolish enough to go off it for reasons that seemed good at the time, and now am diabetic. I am sure if I stayed on it I would never have come to this place.
