So the guy who they think might be Cooper died about 10 years ago? Or is it his remains that was found 10 years ago?
To: Free ThinkerNY
I guess we will have to wait and see what the DNA test results are. The guy in the picture sure looks like the sketch of Cooper.

Doesn’t look like one of Holder’s people.

Holder’s people aren’t that imaginative. They seem to prefer killing each other or Korean grocers, while on crack.

Agree, (white male) that’s why the FBI is still throwing money at this. Meanwhile, flash mobs across the country unattended.

The history channel had a recent program suggesting that it was a disgruntled employee that did it. Relative or friend came forward suggesting it. Guy was ex military, etc.

If D.B. were in his 40’s, 40 years ago, it wouldn’t be surprising for him to die in his 70’s.
As for the money found outside the predicted landing area:
He asked for 4 chutes and jumped with 2. One a poorly packed reserve chute. Let’s assume he knew what he was doing.
I say he had a change of clothes, as nobody saw him lower the rear stairs and jump. Further, he grabbed a handful of cash and stuffed it in with the reserve chute, which floated to the area outside the predicted landing zone, where the $5,800 was later found.
He landed with $190K and lived happily ever after.
I’ll sell the expanded script for a small sum.

FILE--A 1971 artist's sketch released by the FBI shows the skyjacker known as 'Dan Cooper' and 'D.B. Cooper', was made from the recollections of passengers and crew of a Northwest Orient Airlines jet he hijacked between Portland and Seattle, Nov. 24, 1971, Thanksgiving eve. FBI spokeswoman Ayn Sandalo Dietrich tells The Seattle Times that a law enforcement member directed investigators to a person who might have helpful information on Cooper. (AP Photo/FBI/file)

Those sketches are far too similar for me to believe that they were done at different times from different witnesses. Unless it was the same sketch artist and he drew the second one almost completely from memory.
