Never liked the song, but yeah, one heck of a video.
The dude’s either a prophet or the most astute observer of humanity, ever...;D
Check your mail.
+1.
I bought Smyth’s self-titled solo album back in ‘92 (the one she did a duet with Don Henley) and not only was it pretty good, the photos of her on it...Yowza!
Because she paled in comparison to the lovely Martha Quinn!
On a previous thread we were discussing Alice and I mentioned that I wanted to share that song with my son (who digs old school hard rock) but I ain't gonna until he's 18...or maybe married!
Pure rock awesomeness, though.
Awesome bike, BTW.
Oh yes...I LOVED ‘Remote Control’!
Nina Blackwood? I think she has a radio show on the west coast.
Indeed.
LOL
Heavy Metal was awesome. Weird in any number of ways but very entertaining. Now I’m going to have to watch it....
Thanks for the link, I’ll check it out. :)
Thanks!
Now, instead of “Who’s that on the tank?” with the Type O theme, I get drunks [and sober people, too] crowding around screaming “I #%%$#&!$#!!!! LOVE ALICE, MAN!!!”.
I’m not sure which is more annoying....:D
That’s it!
I knew I’d recognize it if I heard it.
Thanks...I was going *nutz* trying to remember....;D
“Never liked the song, but yeah, one heck of a video.”
I agree, the song itself is very average.
Hell, the video was better than A-Ha ever was.
Even the Family Guy spoof video was great.
I remember before MTV...there was a hour-long video music show that was done by the Qube cable system out of Columbus, Ohio. It was satellite syndicated and was shown on a number of cable systems.
I am having trouble remembering the name of the show, but I do remember that it had a LIMITED selection of videos. I also remember that the opening theme song was Led Zepplin’s “Carouselambra”.
Great soundtrack, too.

Oh, yeah.

The lowest common denominator rules
Forget honesty
Forget creativity
The dumbest buy the mostest
That's the name of the game
But sales are slumping
And no one will say why
Could it be they put out one too many lousy records?!?
Always been a Cooper fan. Not ‘hardcore’ but rarely heard music from him I didn’t like.
My fave was the Special Forces album and I swear that every time I read a ‘cop shoots dog’ or ‘broke in the wrong house’ story here, that song automatically plays in my mind.
True story: When I was around 16, a friend who WAS AC hardcore had a father who was a former Marine and chief of Police in our small town. Good guy. We were sitting in my friend’s room listening to that song and as it started, his dad came in the room. My friend and I just busted up laughing. His dad wondered what was so funny. We told him to listen to the song. He did.
He then shook his head, said “I ought to arrest both of you”, laughed and walked out the door ;)
Oh hell...Talk about a goof ...the song I was referring to is “Prettiest Cop on the Block”
