BOSTON -- A local man is raising eyebrows of wildlife officials after he recently jumped on a shark from a boat off the Cape Cod coast.
Middleborough's Erik Jacobs, an avid fisherman, spotted a basking shark in the water and jumped on it.
"I've been waiting for an opportunity like this my whole life to see something like this in the water," Jacobs said.
Jacobs knew after circling the animal with his boat that it was a basking shark.
"We circled around it a couple times, realized it was a basking shark, got comfortable, came up next to it and thought, 'You know? I need to feel this fish,'" Jacobs said. "I need to swim with him and be part of this."
He said he rode the shark for about 15 feet.

“Crazy fools, the Irish.”
I wonder if the shark got a buzz just from skin contact.

LOLOLOL at the pics.
There's a reason they were able to circle it with their boat. A drunk jumping off a boat onto him probably gave the poor thing a freakin' heart attack.
Cool!
LOL! This is one of your best.
