First, this thread is posted under "Chit Chat" where such threads can be posted, so if you don't like it, go cry to mommy but don't waste my time whining to me.
This "Debt Ceiling Crisis" which is really no crisis at all is going as planned. Obama is not concerned or worried, he's in the drivers seat. Why is he not worried? Because only he can sign the bill, and he knows full well he is not going to.
His comments yesterday about "Wanting to act on his own" and basically disregard the constituation were not aimed at the so called debt ceiling crisis, but rather immigration. That he truly is stuck on. Don't get me wrong, he was angry when he made those comments, but angry at the republicans for trying to get cuts and holds put on spending, Obama abhors that. Also, having to meet with the opposition, how belittling for him, as if they have any say or input on his agenda, they are mere fools compared to him, they are utterly beneath him. Above all things, he knows he must spend and spend while at the same time weaken the military until it is truly a feable force, and he's on track.
But as far as bringing about an agreement, no, it isn't going to happen, I don't even worry about it, I know what is going to happen. The best way I can describe our current course is like an airplane pilot yelling "Allah Akbar" and steering the plane striaght into the ground.
Just what is in store for us when we crash I don't quite know yet. I only know it's not conventional, it's not what we think.
I do think behind the scenes Obama is having fun watching everybody twist in the wind, he's in control, he knows it, and the ship is going where he takes it, period. So, if you're all caught up with this stuff in Washington it's all a show, and the players have no idea they are in a pretend show, but they are. I am beginning to beleive Obama is truly the master, and the others mere children unable to see that somebody is playing the game for real.

I doubt Obama is really the driving and manipulator behind it all. He is ‘the front man” to carry our someone else’s master plan. Soros? likely. or perhaps the shadow government. They are very good at keeping their self mostly not noticed.
It took finding someone or bringing up someone that has no love for America or Americans. We have a totally affected President that thinks only of himself and his own desires, and he can carry out orders.

You would be correct except that this is nothing like the WH planned. They thought they would control the debate. They are now to the left of Ried on this. His public support is crumbling and Commie Pinko Senators are calling for him to be Primaried because he is botching this so bad. If Obummer had a solid economy and wasn’t hemorrhaging base supporters, he could pull this 14th Amendment crap off. There is no way he can do it now.
Last nights speech was like watching a drowning man flail for a life preserver. That episode will go down as Obummers “Malaise” speech.

Agreed. He's not that bright. Obama is just marching to the drum beat of a bigger agenda. I am certain Soros is involved but I believe it is much bigger than even he. I am not normally a conspiracy theorist, but it seems to me we are moving and warp speed toward one world government. America is the last real bastion of freedom. Check out just in since 2008 how the government has grown, freedoms slowly taken from us and so on. Most Americans are like the frog in the pot of water and will never know they are being boiled alive because the temperature is slowly raised until the frog is dead. Too bad, frog - too late. But, I have faith that we can turn things around - we just need never to give up.

Could we look back in the future to the summer of ‘11 and Obama grappling with the debt ceiling, making speeches and pointing fingers, but not resolving anything???
We recall that the malaise of Carter led to the election of Reagan. Maybe the disfunction of the Obama years will lead to an election which changes who is in power.
