It might have been the special bell given to Mohammad about 1000 years before he was born.

May have become unattached to a priest's cloak as the man was being dispatched by a Roman soldier. The Gladius was not an elegant weapon and what happened in Jerusalem in 70 AD was not a delicate conquest. It was wholesale slaughter.

Not unlike what would have happened to every Jew in Israel in '48, and would tomorrow, if the Muslims are able to conquer the same ground.
