Nebraska girl born with no arms and legs has blamed unfair scoring after she failed to make her school's cheerleading squad three years in a row.

Julia Sullivan, 16, has complained to the school board after she said she was given 'no accommodation for her disability' during try-outs.

The wheelchair user did not make the team after she received a low score in the jumps/kicks category of the trials.

Miss Sullivan got her highest marks in the communication skills and enthusiasm/spirit categories.

The Aurora High School student, who said that she likes to dance, said: 'I just think it would be fun.'

How sad really. That's what the dimwits do: exploit those of us who may have a disability or who may be behind in something. The dims capitalize on that by making the 'victim' believe it's society's fault; then the lawsuits are filed but it's only to advance an agenda while the 'actual victim' eventually gets left behind in the dust.

It's disgusting and her parents should be slapped into next week.

Well...I guess she could just sit there and yell out the cheers...not sure what else she could really do...

That's what people in the bleechers do. Maybe we could make them all cheerleaders. Then they could all get into the games for free. How cool is that?

I once knew a guy with no arms or legs. We called him Matt.

We hung him up on the wall one time, and called him Art.

We threw him over the fence while playing baseball and called him Homer.

Think of the cheers

A little rough on the struts, don't you think?

No, you HAVE to be able to see, particularly well, in fact, to fly a plane. Perhaps someone can put the controls in your hands for a few seconds the same way a politician gets to “work the crane that erects the ceremonial first girder of a new civil building” with overwhelming supervision, but it’s all a ruse.

I guess if other girls don’t make the team then no special consideration need be given.
While a parent should always push the idea to their children that they can accomplish anything at a young age as they get older those ambitions have to start facing reality. That’s just life.

I would be tempted to post the relevant Monty Python video but I do feel for the kid and admire her strong will. I wish her every success in life while at the same time fully expect her judgement and wisdom to mature over time.

You go, girl!

The US Customs Building in Downtown Philly had a blind concession operator in the lobby. He sold drinks, newspapers, smokes, and so on......... He was the most interesting and capably proud person I've ever met. He was a case study in alternate means of analysis. He could differentiate all denominations of currency, knew the exact spot of all items he stocked and sold, and knew how to run a business!

His dog honestly looked bored most the time. The dog confided in me once that he closed his eyes on the walk and train ride home just to have some excitement.

You above everyone else, that may comment on here, knows what an absolute disservice these parents did to this child by making her believe that all things are possible. It's tragic. I cannot imagine a more heartless thing to do to your child. Your comment was from experience and from the heart and not meant cruelly. I know that.

This article is written so poorly the author should be fired. It's going to cause great humiliation to this girl.

The article is written by Brits, who should have a better command of the English language.

I love the Daily Mail, because it largely has a conservative outlook and reports things the MSM won’t, but BOY they need to hire a copy editor, ASAP. :-/

That is very true. She is in the marching band and could be an insiprational motivator to other handicapped people.
