The jurors names should be published. There is no reason for secrecy. Besides, it is illegal to suppress the names of the jurors in a public trial.

I’m glad that members of the press are suing for release of the names.

These 12 people played the game; now they must pay the piper.

They likely knew the ramifications for making a profit off the death. No sympathy here. If you can’t deliberate a month of evidence, then make a hard decision - then you reap what you sow. imo. Hopefully, the profit was worth it. People will forget this case, until the next travesty rears its head. Part and parcel of a flawed system, albeit likely the best system.

Is that the sort of justice system you want, where a jury makes an unpopular decision and then you make their lives hell for having done so? Possibly have their lives taken bevause the popular sentiment disagrees with the decision they made?

I’d think, in your world, I’d rather serve jailtime than risk being on a jury where I might have to make the choice of rendering a popular, but unjust decision or have my life taken because I made what I thought to be a right call, even if it flies in the face of public sentiment.

“The jurors names should be published. There is no reason for secrecy.”

I think Judge Perry made a big mistake when he told the jurors their names would be kept confidential. If they’d known their identities might be revealed after the trial, something tells me they would have taken their sworn duty a lot more seriously and actually looked at the evidence and deliberated before coming up with their verdict. Heck, they might have even paid attention during the whole trial instead of just latching onto Baez’s pack of lies in his opening statement and ignoring what the prosecution presented.
