Actually my 30th anniversary was yesterday - I lost track of time.
By the grace of God, I'm free! A.A. played its part too.
I ain't gonna drink today.
All you former drunks weigh in.
Prayers for you Mellisa. You must be willing to accept God’s Will for you. Do you go to AA meetings?
Today is day 1968 for me.
It's a start.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!

I’m good with the progress. The day, last year, when I lost my job, or should I say it just disappeared, was a toughie. And it got a little stressful in the 6 months of unemployment that followed. But the week before that ran out, a job sorta kinda landed on me. Wouldn’t have happened if I’d been passed out on the couch and not out there making myself a target.
You done good. My brother never mastered the quit drinking game and died at age 45 four years ago with cirrhosis of the liver, hep B & C, along with gastritious.
There are consequences to not following through.
Drinking never improves things when they are going bad, it can only make them worse.
What we really have is a daily reprieve contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition.

My sentiments as well!
God bless you all, and stay the course!
Excellent! Congrats! My brother just celebrated 7 years.
Happy birthday,
I’ll celebrate my 36th on the 17th, God willing.
Great. It works when you work it. You know what comes after 30 years? 30 years plus one day. One day at a time. Thats how it works.
Congrats on your thirty, I hear it’s the hardest year to get through. I’ll have 21 years if I make it to the 8th of next month.
congratulations
Keep coming back, it works
Great to hear Graybeard,
Remember, there is no situation so bad that a drink cannot make it worse..
Incorrect.
If you die, and there is a nuclear war in which the radiation reanimates your corpse, and you become a zombie, you BETTER be a zombie that gets to a meeting.....
.....or you will be a zombie that drinks.
Congrats Graybeard!
(I just picked up my 5-Year Chip in April.)
God willing I will celebrate 15yrs on Sept. 5th.
My brother is an alcoholic. He has been a faithful member of AA for 20 (?) years or more. We love him so much and we are so grateful that he is still with us. If he had continued on the path he was going he would have surely died.
I bet your family feels the same about you.
May God bless you.
