If they were just rejected outright, I would understand it. But that's not what seems to have happened. Casey was offered a deal by Vivid, and then it was withdrawn the very next day or so. After that, Baez signed on with the talent agency Paradigm, and that deal was null and void faster than Casey's.

That is very suspicious. Since when do porn producers and talent agencies care what people think about someone? It can't be because of the response to the outcry after the verdict. I wouldn't believe that unless I was one of those jurors.
