“lying charges”
The term “lying” is what hurt the prosecution in this case. Evidently lying was a way of life for Casey, it was used thousands of times in testimony and lost it’s signifigance. This time Casey was creating people and excuses to COVER UP a crime. Even her actions from June through July were a COVER-UP to pretend to friends everything was normal, instead they offered it as a personality trait.
