Yet with Scott Peterson a few years ago the result was a death penalty conviction based on 100% circumstantial evidence with a dash of blatant prosecutorial misconduct thrown in for good measure.

I’ve always hated that case because I followed it at the start and the police were bound and determined that he was their man. Every new fact that surfaced they’d just change their story to show how that made him guilty.

Peterson was a crappy excuse for a husband, no doubt, but that didn’t mean he killed his wife.

There was lots of circumstantial evidence in Scott Peterson’s case. No one opened the morning drapes, People saw him loading a shape like the body into his car, he rented the boat and was seen with the bundle out on the water, the cement weights; there was a ticket stub there somewhere. Can’t remember it all but in his case you could put together the steps to dispose of the body.

Not so in this case. Do I think she taped the mouth, gave her choloroform to kill her, put her in a bag, into the trunk until it started to smell? Yes I do. In fact, I think she killed the little girl to punish her Mama and Daddy (she moved out and was mad at them). But there is Zero evidence to find Casey Anthony guilty. Unfortunately.

He killed her. And that's true with or without a court trial.

One of the problems in letting this sort of sociopath loose ~ either to a life term, or just loose out in public ~ is they WILL KILL AGAIN.
