Good Morning to all, and Happy Independence Day.
There are also sure to be courtroom fireworks as the State gives it rebuttal and the case is expected to be sent to the jury.
Court is starting early today at 8:30 a.m.
The countdown for justice for Caylee begins.
Jeff Ashton: “Anyway you slice it, Casey Anthony is guilty of 1st degree murder.”
I live in Orlando and the locals cover it so much better than the networks. Even FOX News (as much as I like Fox). It’s interesting how the networks think they can swoop into town with a few correspondents, get some information and think that they know the WHOLE story. I encourage anyone who is capable to stream coverage from one of the local Orlando stations.
Exactly- and if there really HAD been corruption in the ME’s office you know by now someone would have followed their conscience and been a whistleblower.
If I remember- Casey backed her car up to the garage THREE times in the week or so after the 16th...time to do whatever she needed.
Realization that she may very well go to prison IMO.
I think when verdict is read and it is guilty of some form she may throw a fit.
My older computer won’t do streams any more—drops the wireless connection every few minutes. But so far, Fox is running it without comment—they’re best when they don’t interject. Also no commercial breaks so far, either.
She is a hollow woman with no soul.
Our locals have done a really good job with this trial- local Fox and Channel 5 I think have been the best for coverage- but I really like Bill Schaffer on Channel 9 too.
Wow, Jeff almost looked like he was getting emotional at the end! That was good - now Linda, wrap it up in a pretty bow!!!
Plain, old common sense will convict her. None of the defense’s convoluted story telling is going to help her.
I have an older laptop too, but recently started using a newer one my husband had. I am always astounded by how much faster each new computer is! I loved being able to watch the trial on tv, then switch to the live coverage from a local Orlando tv station during commericals! Of course my lazy rear end hasn’t moved far from this spot for the last month! lol
Regarding Haleigh. I think the gators got her too. What a trash family full of druggies. At least the Anthony family APPEAR to have more class. Excluding Casey. I think if she hadn’t snuffed out Caylee, her parents would have been her targets but then her money train would dry up.
Did you see Jeff. He looked like he was totally spent.
Juxtaposed with that cold snarling face of Casey. Making remarks under her breath.
GOD, please let there be Justice for one of your sweet children.
If the jury has common sense, she’ll be found guilty. That’s a pretty big “if” though, remember the old saying about common sense not being so common. From where I sit, the prosecutors have so far put on the best case. The defense’s case sounded more like someone who’s spent too much time with the bong, spinning wild conspiracy theories with no basis in logic. Sort of like one or two (ahem) folks who post on these threads.
Of course my lazy rear end hasnt moved far from this spot for the last month! lol
I think a lot of our rears are getting wider from this case lol
Both sides agree, "We will never know how Caylee died".
Until that is known everything is speculative. Reasonable doubt is there. Not guilty.
I’m a late-comer to this story and I was wondering if someone could answer something for me.
Why is the defense coming after Casey’s dad so hard? I understand the molestation charges, but they didn’t really address the issue. No proof, no witnesses, no evidence. (Asking him if he’d admit to molestation if he’d done it was like asking a man how often he beats his wife, IMHO. It’s an unfair question that just made the defense attorney look like a bully.)
The defense argument that any loving father would ‘fall on his sword’ to protect his daughter is BS. I love my kids, but I’m not lying for them. If I thought that one of my kids killed their kid, I’d hang ‘em myself.
“”She was a grandmother, don’t know if she was the infamous Juror #4, and don’t know what it means.””
I heard that and she is Juror #5 and of the same mindset as Juror #4 about “not judging anyone.”
“”The prosecution tried three times, once for cause and twice with peremptory challenges, to remove this juror from the panel. The prosecution objected, saying that the challenge was racially biased. Judge Perry agreed, and would not allow the peremptory strike.””
Thanks for that - I had no idea why she was allowed on the jury. This explains it.
Defense wants to hang the murder on the grandfather. Or really, anyone would do, but the grandfather is the most convenient for now.
