Good Morning to all, and Happy Independence Day.
There are also sure to be courtroom fireworks as the State gives it rebuttal and the case is expected to be sent to the jury.
Court is starting early today at 8:30 a.m.
The countdown for justice for Caylee begins.
Intimidation is one reason.
I doubt it too. The state tried to get emotion back in their case at the end. I wonder if it worked? I saw no evidence of child abuse even presented. Probably will be a compromise verdict of Mansaughter. Or who knows maybe the State gets murder 1. I doubt a hung jury. Unless they acquit. Then the Nancy Grace lynch mob will hunt them down.
I’m going to miss Judge Perry.

For sure. As much as I like Jeffs closing, Linda deffently kicked that field goal.
But if Casey is found guilty of “aggrivated ‘child abuse” it goes back to Murder 1.
I know about the morals and ethical part of the bar but I also know that, as an attorney, you must be completely impartial. So far, you have not exhibited that you can do that. Might want to go in a different direction for your future. just sayin'....
I think the news folks were leaning toward the IT guy
When the judge first mentioned bookers I though he meant bookies. I bet there are plenty of those out there, too. LOL.
That time frame makes good sense. And, it makes it less likely that they’ll try to appeal because of the jury. (Lots of other issues will be used, I’m sure.)
Better than what I thought - I heard “hookers” and wondered what the heck he was warning the crowd about! lol
...I haven't talked to anyone who thinks she's innocent....
I haven't been following this as closely as others...
..but my sister-in-law has....(she can't stand Baez or Casey)...
..but whether the locals are 24/7 on this case.....or not paying much attention....
..we can't escape conversations....even at the supermarket....
...It's on the local news and has been for 3 years.....it's in the local papers...
Whether a toddler could be capable is irrelevant. The judge needs to mention it or be subject to having the case appealed because he failed to "properly" instruct the jury regarding the law.
“For TWO CENTURIES....”
Goose bumps..
I know this is mean to say but I hope Sims finds her hairbrush and brushes that mat of hair.
Agree, first degree.
However, on my jury we had a dope head. We had to lessen the charges. Hey, it happens.
Me too. Seems to be fair. I believe Casey did kill Caylee. I am also inclined to believe it was murder. Casey had finally played all her cards with the exception of Caylee. She knew she was finished. How the jury will see it; I don’t know.
Well, they are still going with first degree murder. No mention of FL Supreme Court ruling.
Again, look at Casey's behavior to answer that question.
If my father molested me, I'd not let him anywhere near my daughter. I wouldn't live with my parents and I wouldn't leave my child alone with such a monster.
The fact that she was so comfortable leaving Casey alone with her dad tells me that she had no reason to fear him.
Now let's look at Cindy's behavior. She sits beside her husband and lets him touch her. If she believed that he were a child molester or that he had anything to do with the baby's death and covered up the death, she's be absolutely frigid with him.
Next. We have the prison phone call. The entire family believed that Casey knew what happened to Caylee. Not the dad.
She killed the kid to get back at her mother.
She was excellent. My problem with Ashton was during Baez’s closing. He acted like a 14 year old, and there’s really nothing in this case that is humorous. I doubt that it impressed the jury. Linda’s closing might have remedied that situation. Very compelling.
