To make a quote show up in italics you type < then i then > before the quote, then type < then / then i then > after the quote but leave out where I typed then - the brackets with an i inside mean italics and the / in front of the i means to end the italics

you can make a word look like it is in bold print by using the brackets with b in between, then "turn off" the bold print by putting the / in front of the b inside brackets after the word you wanted to be bold

Does that make sense? Or, did I just make things harder for you to understand?
