Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.
I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.
I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.
Let me know if you want on or off the ping list.
agree

I thought that was why Cheney Mason was put on the defense because Bass wasn’t qualified? Mason should get in trouble for allowing the bass to take over the trial. Baez’s first and last case period unless the bar let’s him keep his license.
yeah
The stickler for me regarding premeditation is that neck breaking search. Why does one need to search for that? That goes to premeditation for me.
Having Baez represent her was gonna be one of Casey’s best shots at appeals.. she clever,, but dumb.. and overdid it.. sad to see a family utterly destroyed in public .. and Oprah off the air. I reckun interviews with Piers and Diane Sawyer will have to do.
PS .. Don’t try and bury your dirty laundry.. at least not in your own backyard.
What finally turned me was Ashton's description of the APPLICATION of the duct tape. Three pieces, very deliberately placed...across the mouth, then one each at a 45 degree angle to cover each nostril. Before I thought there was at least a possibility that the duct tape had been applied post-mortem to stem the flow of bodily fluids. However, I truly think if that were done there would be a lot more tape applied and in a more "round and round the face" fashion. I also suspect coming in rebuttal will be discussion of the "heart-shaped" sticker residue placed OVER the duct tape...Casey's final goodbye to her "favorite pet."
So I've now been convinced. Murder one, malice aforethought.
Not doubting it happened but hardly dispositive of the state of the justice system, and you are hardly an objective opinion on that score.
In any event, your inability to stay on the right side of the law is irrelevant to this case.
Casey’s grandmother was going to have Casey arrested for stealing from her grandfather’s nursing home account. Cindy told her that if she did she would no longer speak to her. When Cindy got home she confronted Casey and all hell broke loose.
Casey’s aunt called in to Nancy Graces show and explained what happened. They got into a physical fight and that is the night she left with Caylee.
I think that conversation was with a fellow jail inmate. Not sure though.
I would add to that that she was a “party” girl....drugs and alcohol were involved. She decided to use her own pharmaceuticals to drug Caylee into submission when her babysitter, ie Mom Cindy, refused to keep working full time and take care of her granddaughter while her daughter did nothing all day. Casey HAD to party and keep it all up....then one day little Caylee died. Whether from the chloroform...or she left her all day in the Florida sun in the trunk...or she used the duct tape and finished her off....I am sure there was duct tape in case she woke up so she couldn’t scream or cry for help. Whatever happened, I don’t need to know.....I do KNOW she is guilty. Her own behavior after the fact gives her away. Then the lies began, because this was hardly an accidental death.
No sympathy from me. None at all.
If I heard right, Mason will take over at some point here.. previous attorneys that have bailed her defense team may have seen the writing on the wall and said, You Go Jose! or I do.
Absolutely...and look what SP’s Mother did. Got him some serious cash to take off on. I know she showed up in court with an oxygen tank. Did they ever do anything about her attempt to help him get away?
this defense attorney is blowing smoke......I am beginning to not like him at all.
I couldn’t stand that sleaze Baez from the start!
Man, I hadn't realized until you pointed it all out just how many there are.
As I stated earlier, the Scott Peterson case affected (effected?)me in that everyone was so taken in by his friendliness. Made me think twice about nice guys my daughter dated.
Agree totally. I don't think she - or George - can live with the guilt. I know I couldn't. To me it explains quite a bit of their behavior after Caylee's death. (NOT that I am excusing it.)
Denial is a powerful emotion.
agree 100pct
You just now not liking Baez tioga??? LOL I didn’t like him 3 years ago
