Good Morning to all. Closing Arguments are today.
I apologize in advance if you were either left off today's ping list or included in error. I am not at home and forgot to forward my pinglist to my friend's house, so I've had to check some older threads and reconstruct as many names as possible. If I missed you I'm sorry.
I probably won't be able to post much on this thread, but after I am home I will keep my ear to the television/radio for the jury decision, and will ping again when I hear so we can have a discussion thread.
Let me know if you want on or off the ping list.
Right now he is doing the closing argument for the defense. What a joke. By the time it is reversed Casey will have served about the right amount of time. Maybe 2 years. Amazing. They are not allowing the defense to use a picture of Casey herself. It may get reversed in a few months it is so blatant.
If (forgive me) the child had not decomposed before the duct tape was applied, how is it possible that there is no DNA on the sticky side of the tape?
It is not - put duct tape on your arm, rip it off, it will be covered with your DNA.
Even more so, if you were a rotting corpse.
So, who applied it, and when?
Really? Are you that obtuse?
The picture in question is when Casey was 15. Gee, I wonder why they wanted to use *that* one?
No Stockholm syn. in this case....Casey’s behavior history before the death of her child indicates she is simply doing what she has always done in the case and in her life. So Stockholm would not apply for her.
Patton the people here are stuck on the media template. How lond do you think it will take for reversal on appeal for judicial misconduct?
She came across as truthful to me.
“I want you in my Life” in a text message to her from George and video taping of him going through the gates of her apartment is as convincing as typing “neck breaking”.
Yes, we know you have doubts, lol. But that doesn’t mean the case is going to be dismissed. I believe she’s guilty as hell but that doesn’t mean she’s going to be convicted. Let’s use a little logic here.

The picture is of a 15 year old Casey. Court is asking JB to use a more current picture. Nothing wrong with that. He's not asking no picture be use.
Either way, I don’t think it has anything to do with Casey’s guilt or how Caylee died. Just a distraction.

She murdered her child, you admit it and then you proceed to conclude reasonable doubt? Talk about a stretch of the imagination. She is guilty, it remains to be seen which charge they convict her on and her punishment.
I agree.
I think some people expect to have NO doubt. But reasonable doubt has less of a burden:

I got chills not only with the computer search for chloroform, neck breaking and using household items to kill BUT the way the duct tape was wrapped three times around the child. One covering her mouth, and the other two to seal off the nose. I was chilled to the core with those statements.
Are you arguing that the body found is not Caylee? I don't know why else you are bringing up DNA on the tape or think there was no DNA on the tape. There was hair attached to the tape. It was Caylee's.
Because they wanted to use a picture of her as a teenager, which had no context when she created those fictional characters.
You know, you really shouldn't make things up. That's not what he ruled! He ruled that the picture he was using had to be changed, if he doesn't use any picture that's his choice.
Sure it would - if she is truly an abused child. Would she not defend her father?
See, doubt.
Unfortunately, it does happen often. Yeah.
